We place a lot of importance on our physical health as a society. But, do we pay enough attention to the things inside one of our most important organs - our mind? At present, you might be facing a mix of emotions from anxiety, depression, loneliness or even avoidance caused by the ebbs and flows of life. Seeing a way forward might seem a little challenging sometimes. So, we’ve put together three of the best podcasts we’ve come across in order to give you some guidance, encouragement and perspective when trying to achieve mindfulness.
Crappy to Happy by Cass Dunn
Cass Dunn is quadruple threat. A psychologist, coach, author and now podcaster, her journey to make all of this happen didn’t come easy. Cass swapped out a high-flying corporate job to become a full time postgraduate psychologist student so she could eventually land a career in the mental health space.
The swift shift to a different life was prompted by her realisation that the nice suits and jet-setting life wasn’t something she really enjoyed (pretty relatable for some of us right?). Cass finally arrived at a point in her life where she couldn’t deny her underlying passion for psychology and took the leap to begin her journey in studying a Masters of Coaching Psychology. Fast forward to now, and Cass has helped her audience overcome some of life's challenges through her thought-provoking conversations on the Crappy to Happy podcast.
What to expect?
Practical advice, tips and tools to guide you on your way to feeling more energised, empowered, mentally strong, emotionally fit and happy. Cass does this carefully through her many discussions on stress and the ‘cult of busy’; diets and healthy relationships with food; the trap of emotional eating and self-sabotage; tips and tricks on motivation; goal setting and how to combat that inner critic.
